Vietnam Electronic visa (e-visa) is also a popular way to enter Vietnam. However, Vietnam Government has just granted 80 countries and 2 territories, Taiwan is not one of them. Therefore, for citizens with Taiwan passport, there are two ways to apply for Vietnam visa:
- Apply directly at the Vietnamese embassy in Taiwan
- Apply for visa on arrival.

Apply for Vietnam visa on arrival
Vietnam allows every citizen in the world to easily apply for visa on arrival. You can enter into Vietnam and stay up to 12 months with single or multiple entry. In order to apply for this type of visa, you need to provide some necessary information such as personal information, gender, date of birth, passport…to receive the approval letter after 2 working days, then do the online payment with the fee which is from 6 USD (depending on your nationality and type of visa you apply).
With only the approval letter, you can fly to Vietnam and show this letter at “Visa On Arrival” counter to get visa stamp. Then you will easily enter into Vietnam with that visa.

Advantages:
- Convenience: This is a simple way within only 2 working days, you don’t need to apply at the Vietnamese embassy, you can easily apply online via website.
- Payment: You can use the credit or debit card.
- Support: Whenever you have any problems, questions, etc. you will have the supports from the visa agent.
Defects:
- The applicants normally care about which agent to apply with. Although applying at the embassy is more complicated, the applicants know well about it so far. When applying with an online visa service which they cannot see the office, they have a little scare about scamming.
