  1. Weekends

In Vietnam, Government offices usually don’t work on weekend. The Immigration Department, which issue visa for foreigners is the same. They are off on Saturday and Sunday every week. Only urgent cases are considered to get visa at the weekend. Therefore, if you have plan to get visa to Vietnam, you should apply in advance and avoid to apply at the weekend (the weekends price will be higher than the weekdays one).

Besides Saturday and Sunday every week, there are 5 Vietnam National Holidays you need to pay attention to. The National Holidays off 2019 are already informed, and you should avoid these National holidays period.

In the National holidays, the Vietnam Immigration Department will not work. Only urgent cases are considered. If you apply visa on the period of National Holidays, the price will be much high.

This is the second longest holiday in Vietnam because it combines two Holidays together. Reunification Day in Vietnam is a public holiday that celebrates the reunion of North and South Vietnam. International Labor Day in Vietnam is a holiday that recognizes workers in Vietnam and across the entire globe.
