Because the e-visa is single entry only, many people wonder can they buy 2 e-visa with different dates to make 2 entries in Vietnam instead of getting a multi-entry Visa On Arrival?
The answer is YES!
e-visa allows the holder to enter and exit only one time with maximum 30 days of stay. Therefore, you can buy two e-visa to make two entries. However, please note that:
1/ You have to exit to make the first e-visa to be invalid, then re-enter with the second e-visa. You cannot use the second e-visa without leaving Vietnam.
2/ Calculate the exit date of the first e-visa and entry date of the second e-visa to use these two visas effectively.
For example, the first e-visa is valid from 01 November to 01 December, if you want to use the maximum length of stay in Vietnam, you should apply the second e-visa valid from 01 December to 31 December. So, on 01 December, you exit Vietnam to another nation and re-enter on the same day to stamp a new visa.
Or you also can exit sooner than the expiry date of the first e-visa. For example, the first e-visa is valid from 01 November to 01 December. You can exit any date of this period of time, as long as leaving before 01 December. And applying the second e-visa with the entry date as your plan.
3/ Calculate the best entry port and exit port. You must identify the entry port and exit port of each e-visa when you apply them. So, the exit port of the first e-visa and the entry port of the second e-visa should be considered to be best for your trip. For example, you fly to Ho Chi Minh city, and then take a short trip to Cambodia, then come back to Ho Chi Minh to do a tour from Ho Chi Minh to Ha Noi, and fly back to your home. So the first e-visa should enter in Tan Son Nhat airport (Ho Chi Minh city), then exit in Moc Bai border check point (to take the border crossing to Cambodia). The second e-visa should enter in Moc Bai border check point (from Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh city), and the exit port is Noi Bai airport (Ha Noi)
