1/ Functions of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Vietnam

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 75/2017 / ND-CP dated June 20, 2017 defining the functions of the Vietnam Department of Preventive Medicine, including:

Furthermore, in Covid-19 period, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Vietnam (VN CDC) also in charge of quarantine registration and quarantine solution for experts, businessmen, investors, high-tech workers, etc. who enter Vietnam for business purpose.

2/ How to register quarantine for foreigners entering Vietnam through VN CDC?

Vietnam government now allows experts, businessmen, investors, high-tech workers, etc. to apply business visa for economic development. After entry, the foreign businessmen need to take a quarantine 15 days at hotel or isolation zones which assigned by the Government.

In order to book quarantine to enter Vietnam, you must prepare these below documents:

• Entry permit approved by Provincial People’s Committee
• Visa approval letter issued by Immigration Department
• Hotel booking confirmation
• Car transfer from the airport to quarantine hotel
• Quarantine registration order with signature and red seal by sponsor company

All above documents must be well prepared and submit directly to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention office. The CDC will check and grant quarantine permit a few minutes after getting full required documents.

3/ Covid-19 testing and vaccination at VN CDC

Coronavirus test is processed at assigned locations, and must register in advance. Coronavirus vaccinations are also processed at the places approved by Government and will be taken priority for frontline healthcare staff and the elderly, and step by step for all Vietnamese citizens in 2021. Covid-19 vaccination must be registered in advance as well.
