The Immigration Department has approved to add Van Don airport (Quang Ninh province) as one of the entry port when using E-visa for entry Vietnam. Foreigners can now enter and leave Vietnam through the northern Quang Ninh’s Van Don Airport using e-visas.

Electronic visa is the online application system which allows the foreigners to apply and get visa online. This visa is eligible for 82 countries and territories, valid for 30 days with single entry. With E-visa, foreigners can get Vietnam visa easily.

Starting in May 2020, Vietnam only allows eight airports for entry and exit when foreigners use E-visa to enter:

• Noi Bai airport in Ha Noi city
• Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh city
• Cam Ranh airport in Nha Trang city
• Da Nang airport in Da Nang city
• Cat Bi airport in Hai Phong city
• Can Tho airport in Can Tho city
• Phu Quoc airport in Phu Quoc island
• Phu Bai airport in Hue city

From the end of April 2022, Van Don airport is added to this list. Foreign visitors can book the flight to Van Don airport (Quang Ninh province) and enter Vietnam by using E-visa.

Visitors entering Vietnam through Van Don airport can easily transfer to Ha Long, Ha Noi, Ninh Binh and enjoy an interesting travel route.
