Vietnam electronic visa is closed on Tet holiday and it’s expected to opened after Tet. However, due to the Coronavirus situation in China, Vietnam Government decided to stop grating electronic visa for Hong Kong and Macao citizens temporarily. The electronic visa system is expected to open again when the situation is better.

After nearly 3 weeks of suspension, Vietnam electronic visa has officially been opened again for Hong Kong and Macao SAR. The online application form for Vietnam electronic visa is opened again on 19th February 2020. Hong Kong and Macao passport holders can apply Vietnam electronic visa again from now on, no restriction or suspension anymore.

In order to apply Vietnam electronic visa, Hong Kong and Macao passport holders need to prepare a passport scanned, a digital photo, and the credit card/ debit card to make payment. The online application process will take about 5 minutes to complete.

When click on the Vietnam electronic visa application form, it’s requested you to provide your personal information and choose type of visa, as well as information related to visa application. After completing this step, you will be asked to make payment online. After successful making payment, the visa application is recorded and processed, and you just need to wait until it’s complete. Normally it takes two working days to process Vietnam electronic visa for Hong Kong and Macao citizens.

When you receive the visa through email, please recheck the information and be sure that there are no mistakes or errors. You also need to print out the visa, and bring your passport with this electronic visa to enter Vietnam.
