In order to get the Vietnam visa on arrival, you need to prepare some required documents in advance:

1. The approval letter (print it out)

After receiving it via email, you need to print it out to use for:

• Present it for boarding the airplane
• This is one of the compulsory documents that you need to submit to get the visa stamp on arrival.

2. The visa application form (print it out)

You need to complete the visa application form by downloading online or directly get it on arrival. However, you should download it from the website of tourism agencies and complete it in advance. At the airport, you don’t need to waste more time to do it.

3. Passport photos

2 passport photos in the size of 4×6 (one photo is required for the visa application form, one photo is for backup case).

Your passport must be original.

There are still at least 2 blank pages.

The validity of your passport must be at least 6 months from the day you enter Vietnam.

5. Cash

25 USD or 600.000 VND is required for doing the payment of visa stamp fee (1 month or 3 months single entry). You must prepare it in cash of US dollars or Vietnam Dong. Any other currency is not accepted.

With these documents, you just need to look for the Visa On Arrival counter at Vietnam airports and submit it. Each of 6 international airports which accept Visa On Arrival has its own name such as Visa Application, Visa Upon Arrival, Landing Visa…

Then waiting for your turn to do the payment, get the passport back and get the visa stamp to enter Vietnam.
