I heard that businessmen can get business visa to Vietnam at the airport. Is it true? If yes, how does it work? Do I need to prepare any documents before coming to Vietnam?

Vietnam has opened visa on arrival for many years ago, so people coming to Vietnam for both tourist and business purpose can get visa at the airport. Each airport in Vietnam has a visa on arrival office which issue visa right after visitors land the airport.

There are six international airport which applicants can get visa on arrival when landing:

  • Noi Bai international airport in Ha Noi city (HAN)
  • Cat Bi international airport in Hai Phong city (HPH)
  • Da Nang international airport in Da Nang city (DAD)
  • Cam Ranh international airport in Nha Trang city (CXR)
  • Tan Son Nhat international airport in Ho Chi Minh city (SGN)
  • Phu Quoc international airport in Phu Quoc island (PQC)

To get business visa on arrival, you need to prepare:

  1. Visa approval letter

This letter is an official document issued by Vietnam Immigration Department which allows the applicants to get visa on arrival. You cannot get visa without it. So, you have to apply it in advance. This letter is applied online and can be processed within 2 working days.

  1. Passport

Your passport must be valid more than 6 months when you enter Vietnam, and it also has at least 2 blank pages

  1. Photos

Prepare 2 photos 4×6 cm to attach in the application form.

  1. Vietnamese visa application form

You can get this form when you come to visa on arrival office at the airport or download it online.

When you land at Vietnam airport, you just need to come to visa landing office, submit these above documents, and the officials will grant Vietnam visa to you.
